Series: Risk Transfer Mechanisms: Partnerships for Coral Reef Finance and Insurance in Asia and the Pacific Final Stakeholder Workshop: Partnerships for Coral Reef Finance and Insurance in Asia and the Pacific 11 to 12 March 2026 The Final Regional Workshop brought together government representatives, project partners, technical experts, and stakeholders from Fiji, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Solomon Islands to present the findings of the regional project and share lessons learned from country assessments. The workshop explored innovative financing and risk transfer mechanisms, including coral reef insurance, conservation trust funds, and blended finance approaches, to strengthen coastal resilience and support the long-term protection and restoration of coral reef ecosystems. Participants also discussed pathways for implementation, regional collaboration, and opportunities to scale successful approaches across Asia and the Pacific.
