Francis Areki

With over 20 years of experience in the environmental and community development sectors, Francis Areki possesses expertise in forestry, climate change, and marine fisheries management, including project design, resource allocation, research, and advocacy. From 2017 to 2023, he initially served as the Regional Conservation Director, overseeing teams in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Fiji, before transitioning to the role of Fiji Conservation Director. Francis Areki also serves as the Senior Technical Advisor to the Director of WWF Pacific. Currently, he coordinates WWF Pacific's collaboration with the Fiji Government and provides support for regional conservation programming and development.
