Nyoman Karyawan

Nyoman Karyawan is the founder of the Nuansa Pulau Coral Lovers Community and holds a key role within the Klungkung Regency Tourism Office in Nusa Penida, Indonesia.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he established the Nuansa Pulau Community, where he serves as the initiative’s leader and actively engages local youth in coral reef conservation efforts. Through this community, he regularly conducts coral reef restoration activities and leads ongoing public outreach to raise awareness of the ecological importance of coral reef ecosystems.

Furthermore, within the Klungkung Regency Tourism Office, he actively supports the integration of marine conservation principles into sustainable tourism development. With these roles, he demonstrates a strong commitment to integrating marine ecosystem protection into the broader framework of sustainable tourism development in Nusa Penida.
