Engr. Lim is the General Manager of Antique Electric Cooperative (ANTECO), an electric distribution cooperative, owned by the consumers it services. He has been at the helm of ANTECO over the past 23 years, spearheading the electrification of 18 municipalities and several island villages within ANTECO’s coverage area. His passion to provide 24-hours energy service to his remote communities moved him to initiate the ADB-assisted Malalison Island Solar Hybrid Project in joint venture with a private sector partner, which he envisions to replicate in other small islands. Engr.

Mr. Lalit Kumar Wasan serves as Head of Department (Power System control) at Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited [TPDDL]. He has over twenty years’ experience in the power sector, focusing on power system control, real-time power management through conventional and renewable resources, operations, AMR & Energy Audit, including implementation of ERP systems in TPDDL for better process management & resource optimization. He is a professionally trained Electrical Engineer with Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He is also a certified SAP solution consultant.

Kyle Datta’s long and distinguished career in the energy sector includes Managing Partner of Booz Allen & Hamilton’s Asia Energy Practice and US Utilities Practice, Managing Director of Rocky Mountain Institute, CEO of the US Biodiesel Group, and founder and General Partner of the Ulupono Initiative. Mr. Datta is currently serving on the Puerto Rico Electrical Power Authority Transformation Advisory Council to support the rebuilding of Puerto Rico’s electrical system and consulting through his firm, New Energy Partners.

Ms. Kelly has worked in power and natural gas for more than 30 years. She has extensive experience in power, and gas market regulation and reform, energy efficiency, climate change mitigation, and renewable energy. She served as legal counsel at U.S. Department of Energy (FERC); the merger and acquisition group of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts; Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE); and the energy law boutique firm Bruder, Gentle & Marcoux. In August 2011, Kelly joined the Asian Development Bank.

Jyoti Parikh is a Member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change –India and is a recipient of Nobel Peace Prize awarded to IPCC authors in 2007. She served as the senior professor and Acting Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai 1986-2003. IIASA, Austria for 8 years (1980-86, 76-78) and Planning Commission, as a senior energy consultant at New Delhi (1978-80).

Julien Mélot has always treasured nature and water, spending his childhood summers on self-made rafts and sailing boats. Julien holds a masters in electro-mechanical engineering and in naval architecture. He has been living and working in Europe, South America and Asia building large ships while continuously researching and developing the application of renewable energies to marine transportation and boating. After 4 years of R&D and a pioneering hydrogen/solar catamaran project, he founded Azura Marine in Singapore in 2012 to spread this technology globally.

Julie B. Dulce is currently a Utility Economics analyst of the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) and has been with the company for 13 years. She has been leading the company’s advocacy in the implementation of renewable energy (RE) policies such as Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) System, Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), Net Metering Program, and the Green Energy Option Program. She is part of the company’s core team that pioneered the implementation of the Net Metering program in the country. As part of the Utility Economics Division, Ms.

Jim Ayala has worked on economic development issues in emerging markets for 30 years in his various roles as a social entrepreneur, CEO of a publicly listed company, management consultant, and board member of a number of NGO organizations. He is the President and Founder of  Hybrid Social Solutions Inc. HSSI is a pioneering social distribution company that distributes, services, and finances a range of innovative products – e.g., solar-powered appliances and water purification devices – which enable disadvantaged families to move out of poverty. 

Dr. Jinyue Yan is chair professor of Energy, Sweden working at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mälardalen University; Director of Future Energy Profile; Editor-in-Chief of Applied Energy (IF=7.900). Prof. Yan received his Ph.D. at KTH in 1991, was chair professor and head of Energy Engineering at Luleå University of Technology, Sweden during 2001- 2005. Prof. Yan’s research interests include advanced energy systems; renewable energy; carbon capture and storage; clean development mechanism (CDM); and fundamental engineering thermodynamics. Prof.

Jennifer Leisch manages the USAID-NREL Partnership, overseeing a portfolio of clean energy integration projects. Jennifer leads the USAID Greening the Grid initiative. She holds a Ph.D. focused on renewable energy science, and she has previously worked in the research and development of advanced solar energy and fuel cell technologies.
