Aigerim Akiltayeva is currently engaged as a Climate Change and Project Management Specialist with ADB under the regional technical assistance (RETA), “Promoting Low-Carbon Development in CAREC Program Cities”. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering with first class diploma at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Ms. Akiltayeva successfully designed a group project, “Hydrogen Production via Steam Reforming of Natural Gas” at the University of Leeds.

Mr. Mikael Jakobsson is the Managing Director of NXITY, a consulting company originated from Sweden. Mr. Jakobsson is a graduate civil engineer with a master’s degree in HVAC/Energy from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Mr. Jakobsson has more than 20 years of experience in project management and energy engineering, with specialist knowledge in design- and operation optimization of multi-energy systems including thermal and hydraulic steady-state and transient-state analysis of complex thermal energy systems.

Yasuyuki Ikegami currently serves as Deputy Director and Leader of OTEC Division for the Institute of Ocean Energy, Saga University. He specializes in energy engineering, design, and evaluation of sustainable and environmentally conscious systems, thermal engineering, naval and maritime engineering, Earth system, and resources engineering.

Peter Lundberg is an energy engineer with more than twelve years of experience as Team Leader, Project Manager, Technical Manager, System Designer, and Project Planner. He has worked and lived in several countries such as Sweden, China, and Thailand. He has extensive experience in district heating, district cooling, energy efficiency, renewable energy, demand-side management (DSM), and sustainable urban development. Currently, Mr. Lundberg is the Head of Operations at the Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Mr. Sreekumar is an electrical engineer by profession with a Master's Degree in Energy Engineering from Anna University. He has more than seven years of experience in the power sector working with various stakeholders such as generation and distribution companies, regulatory commissions, policy makers and development organizations (World Bank, NFA, IFC, UNDP, IEEJ, GSEP, DFID, SDC, and NEDO). He has also been extensively involved in the development of smart grid road map and demand-side management action plans for various distribution companies across India. Mr.

Dr. Jinyue Yan is chair professor of Energy, Sweden working at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mälardalen University; Director of Future Energy Profile; Editor-in-Chief of Applied Energy (IF=7.900). Prof. Yan received his Ph.D. at KTH in 1991, was chair professor and head of Energy Engineering at Luleå University of Technology, Sweden during 2001- 2005. Prof. Yan’s research interests include advanced energy systems; renewable energy; carbon capture and storage; clean development mechanism (CDM); and fundamental engineering thermodynamics. Prof.

Aiming has over 25 years of professional experience, including more than 13 years in ADB. Prior to his current position, he was Senior Advisor to the Vice-President (Operations 1). He also served as Principal Energy Specialist for South Asia, secretary of ADB’s Energy Community of Practice, and focal point for the Clean Energy Program. He has a doctoral degree in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware and a master’s in System Engineering (Energy) from Tsinghua University.
