
Aiming Zhou is a Senior Energy Specialist in the Energy Division of South Asia Regional Department at the Asian Development Bank. As the focal point of ADB’s Clean Energy Program, he oversees ADB's clean energy activities, coordinates ADB's efforts in clean energy development, climate change mitigation and provides technical support to ADB's energy-related operations in low carbon development.
He is currently also leading ADB’s Asia Energy Efficiency Accelerator project to promote demand-side energy efficiency investments in Asia and the Pacific. Prior to joining ADB in 2009, he worked with Alliance to Save Energy (2008-2009), University of Delaware (1999-2008) in the United States and Energy Research Institute in the People’s Republic of China (1997-1999). He received a Doctoral degree in Energy and Environmental Policies from the University of Delaware. He also holds a Master's degree in System Engineering (Economics) from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor 's degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Science & Technology in Beijing.
