Today, Robert is the Managing Sales Director at Intelsat, responsible for customers represented by Carriers, Service Providers and Integrators across the Oceania region.

Hau-chung Man

Prof. Hau-chung MAN is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also Chair Professor of Materials Engineering, Cheng Yick-chi Chair Professor in Manufacturing Engineering, Director of the University Research facilities in 3D printing of the university. His key research interests are in high power laser materials processing, materials technology and advanced manufacturing.

Guillaume Dulac

Guillaume has over 15 years of experience in international project development as a water and environmental engineer and economist. He specializes in Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations (FCAS).

His work with Development Finance Institutions (DFI) essentially consists in informing project design and packaging, such as economics and quantitative risk analysis at the project appraisal stage.

Hae Weon Lee

Hae Weon Lee is currently working on solid oxide fuel cells at as a principal research scientist at KIST and served as a delegate for the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy on behalf of the Korea Energy Agency. He joined KIST as a senior research scientist in 1992 and served as the Head of the Center for Energy Materials Research at KIST from 2007 to 2010. He was also the Program Director of Fuel Cells at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning from 2013 to 2015.

Bodha Raj Dhakal

Mr. Bodha Raj Dhakal has over two decades of professional experiences, engaged in the planning of rural electrification and distribution system, study, project preparation, feasibility study, determination of financing model and execution of those projects as a project manager. He is also responsible for Energy Efficient Initiatives and worked as the Project Manager for Design and implementation of a nationwide Energy efficient CFL program as a part of a Demand Side Management (DSM) program, aimed at reducing the evening system peak demand.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers: Perspectives on Technology, Society, and Ethics

One of the objectives of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is to ensure that technology is harmoniously and sustainably harnessed for humanity. Recently, the IEEE has adopted a code of ethics. In this session, a leading member of IEEE outlines the organization’s perspective on social considerations and ethics, and the implications for social inclusion and gender equality in engineering practice. It also presents some practical examples of its work in community energy.

Faraz Amjad

Faraz is an experienced research engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the research and industry. He is skilled in CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Management, ANSYS, and Microsoft packages. He is a strong engineering professional with a Doctoral of Science (Technology) (Dr. Tech.) degree, focused in Machine Automation and Systems Engineering from Tampere University of Technology, Finland.

Zainal Arief

Mr. Arief is the Director of Politeknik Elektronik Negeri Surabaya (PENS), the first rank polytechnic in Indonesia. He earned both his Bachelor and Master degrees in engineering from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in Subaraya in 1993 and 2005, respectively.
