Knowledge Partnership Forum: Innovation for Resilient and Smart Communities
The Knowledge Partnership Forum brought together technology providers, city and community leaders, and staff of Asian Development Bank working on city and community development projects to exchange ideas on how knowledge partnerships can bolster the development of smart cities and communities. Strategic knowledge partnerships are critical for expanding knowledge base, with smart cities and communities, for instance, using innovative technologies effectively to improve everyday life, health, and well-being of its citizens; reduce costs and resource consumption; and perform its functions sustainably. Knowledge partnerships can also provide competitive edge to make things happen, and to make a difference faster where it really matters: in the cities and in rural communities of Asia and the Pacific.
