This presentation explains the role of community-driven development programs in disaster recovery and rehabilitation efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Philippines. Technological challenges, particularly those experienced during the Typhoon Yolanda disaster response, are shared. Knowledge partnerships of the agency with various institutions are also discussed.
