Geohazard Risk Reduction: High-tech and Community Approaches Read more about Geohazard Risk Reduction: High-tech and Community Approaches The session presented case studies of landslide risk reduction in the Kyrgyz Republic and Pakistan. CWER presented the recently approved Landslide Risk Management Sector Project. The project featured the use of GIS and earth observation for site selection, feasibility study, and landslide monitoring. The PRM urban and DRM unit presented the recently completed Flood Emergency Reconstruction and Resilience Project and the ongoing National Disaster Risk Reduction Fund Project. It included the successful implementation of community-based solutions for hazard risk management.
