Digital financial services (DFS) are financial transactions, including banking, insurance, and payment services that can be accessed via digital channels. ADB DMCs can make significant progress in applying DFS to health programs, supporting progress to universal health coverage.

With a strong track record of supporting its developing member countries, ADB has been instrumental in strengthening healthcare systems, particularly in response to pandemics and climate challenges.

Blaire Ng

Blaire Ng is a Health Specialist in the Human and Social Development Sector Office, Sectors Department 3 at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), focusing on the pharmaceutical sector and private sector healthcare across Asia and the Pacific. Before joining ADB, Blaire worked on the Economic Development in Africa Report 2023 with UNCTAD in Geneva on topics including the pharmaceutical supply chain and human capital development. Prior to this, she was in the banking and finance sector with a credit hedge fund, S&P Global Ratings, and Credit Suisse.
