Jiho Cha

Dr. Cha Jiho is a member of South Korea's 22nd National Assembly, representing Osan-si, Gyeonggi Province. A strong advocate for healthcare reform and AI innovation, he leads initiatives like establishing an AI public healthcare R&D cluster in his constituency. He serves on the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee and focuses on welfare policies for marginalized communities. Dr. Cha's passion for humanitarian medicine began during his work at Hanawon, where he cared for North Korean defectors. His experience with Médecins Sans Frontières and the World Health Organization further fueled his commitment to global health. 

He holds an MD from Donga University, an MSc from the University of Oxford, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. As Chairperson of the AI Future Strategy Special Committee for the Democratic Party and an Associate Professor at KAIST, he is a leading voice in AI-driven innovation in public health and health equity.
