She has over 8 years of experience in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency. She has been a pivotal member in the implementation of the globally-lauded Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All program. She has also worked on research studies in the field of clean energy in collaboration with the World Resource Institute, UNFCCC, World Bank, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and AEEE.

Ms. Adelaida Roman is a Senior Programme Specialist and the Head of Air and Atmospheric Pollution Cluster at the Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific, Asian Institute of Technology. She coordinates the activities of the "Malé Declaration on Control and Prevention of Air Pollution and Its Likely Transboundary Effects for South Asia", an intergovernmental network dealing with transboundary air pollution in eight countries of South Asia, as well as the Project “Sustainable Low Emissions Transport”.

He is a Senior Researcher of the International Council for Clean Transportation with more than 15 years of experience in the field of urban sustainability, climate change mitigation, and transport and energy. Aigerim Akiltayeva is currently engaged as a Climate Change and Project Management Specialist with ADB under the regional technical assistance (RETA), “Promoting Low-Carbon Development in CAREC Program Cities”. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering with first class diploma at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Ms. Akiltayeva successfully designed a group project, “Hydrogen Production via Steam Reforming of Natural Gas” at the University of Leeds.

Aileen Dalanon leads the Core Business and Emerging Technologies Tariff Management Team which designs tariffs for MERALCO’s core business of electricity distribution. She monitors and advocates for policies that ensure stability and fairness of electricity tariffs, as MERALCO continues to support the technological advancements in the industry. In recent years, with the influx of new energy sources and technologies, she took on the role of monitoring business models and tariff policies on renewable energy and energy efficiency, smart grid technologies, microgrids, and energy storage.

Mr. Sayed-Khaiyum is the Fijian Attorney-General and the Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service, and Communications, and the minister responsible for climate change. He is the second-ranking elected official in the country. Mr. Sayed-Khaiyum oversaw the creation of a climate change unit in the Office of the Attorney-General to examine legal matters pertaining to climate change that are often omitted from public discussions, such as how to protect the human rights of people who are displaced by the effects of climate change.

Alberto Alonso obtained his PhD in Geography in 2009 with a thesis devoted to Earth Observation and Digital Elevation Models and Orthoimagery applied to cartography. He is a geospatial information scientist with long experience in international and national research projects playing different technical and managerial roles. As a geospatial data scientist, he has more than 10 years of experience in geospatial and earth observation analysis and representation, having worked for the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and the European Environment Agency.

Mr. Aloysius Damar Pranadi is a Research Analyst under the Policy, Research, and Analytics Programme at the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). He graduated from the Engineering Physics Department of the Universitas Gadjah Mada, and is pursuing his master’s degree at Energy and Power Management at Universitas Indonesia. He was involved in the ASEAN Interconnection Master Plan Study, ASEAN Multilateral Power Trade, ASEAN Power Cooperation, ASEAN power database, etc. His interests are power economics and renewable energy (solar and geothermal).

Ancha is a Principal Climate Change Specialist at the Southeast Asia Department (SERD) of ADB. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, UK and as the Climate Change Focal Point for Southeast Asia, he formulates and oversees the implementation of several projects on climate change adaptation and mitigation. He chairs the ADB Climate Smart Agriculture Working Group and serves as ADB’s focal for the Forest Investment Program.
