Aanchal Kumar is an officer at Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and a Future Energy Leader at the World Energy Council. She has over 8 years of experience in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency. She has been a pivotal member in the implementation of the globally-lauded Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All program. She has also worked on research studies in the field of clean energy in collaboration with the World Resource Institute, UNFCCC, World Bank, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and AEEE. As part of her international experience, she has worked on due diligence studies across energy storage and charging infrastructure for e-mobility.
She is currently working on setting up Public Electric charging infrastructure across India in collaboration with various ministries and stakeholders across the government for setting guidelines for operationalizing public charging facilities by developing scalable and impactful business models.
She has completed her Masters in Economics with a specialization in Environment from the TERI School of Advanced Studies and is passionate about achieving more with fewer resources.
