Capacity Building Workshop for Pakistan Government Officials on ADB Processes and Procedures

The Pakistan Resident Mission (PRM) Capacity Development Resource Centre (CDRC), in line with one of its core objectives to enhance the capacity of stakeholders in project preparation and implementation, conducted the Capacity-Building Program for Pakistan Government Officials on ADB Processes and Procedures, on 19–23 August 2024, at the ADB headquarters in Manila.
The 5-day program was delivered in 30 sessions by more than 60 ADB experts and leaders. The highly interactive sessions covered the following topics: ADB organization, mission, and Strategy 2030; country partnership strategy; project cycle; project readiness; financing modalities; safeguards; accountability mechanism; independent evaluation; private sector operations; climate change; gender; procurement; financial management; and sector-level challenges and opportunities in Pakistan. The sessions provided an opportunity for ADB officers and leaders from thematic groups, sector offices, and other relevant units to meet key government counterparts in Pakistan and exchange views and information on the existing portfolio and future directions.
