Prof. Anura Wijayapala is an Electrical Engineer graduated from University of Moratuwa in 1991. He served in the private sector electrical engineering industry for 15 years before joining as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering of University of Moratuwa in year 2006.

He obtained his Master of Engineering Degree in the year 2001 from University Moratuwa. He has been a Chartered Electrical Engineer since 1996 and he is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka and an International Professional Engineer.

V V Janeth is a Deputy General Manager (Comm. & Corp.) Dist. Division 4 at the Ceylon Electricity Board.

He has experience with Hydro Power plants projects, operation and maintenance of Thermal Power Plants, instrumentation and controls, renewable energy procurement and integration and distribution planning.
 

Ms. Hawwa Liuza currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Energy Department at the Ministry of Tourism and Environment in the Maldives. With over 14 years of service at the Ministry, she has made significant contributions to the formulation and implementation of national policies in the energy and environmental sectors. Her expertise spans conventional and renewable energy, energy efficiency, and regulatory planning.

Mrs. Gothama Gannoruwa is working as the Director General (Planning) of the Ministry of Energy, Sri Lanka since September 2023. Prior to the current position in the Ministry of Energy, she served in Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Vocational Education.

Mr. A N M Obaidullah has joined as Member, Company Affairs, BPDB on 20th February, 2025. In the year 1994, he Joined Karnaphuli Hydro Power Plant, BPDB as Assistant Engineer.

In his long carrier, Mr. Obaidullah worked both at home and abroad in different capacities. He has long experience in working at different areas of power sector including Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Planning.

Mr. Obaidullah worked as a Research Fellow, Energy Trade in SAARC Energy Centre from 2008 to 2011.

Mr. Nawa Raj Dhakal is the Executive Director of Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC), Government of Nepal’s focal agency on renewable energy and energy efficiency, under the purview of Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation (MoEWRI).

With a Bachelors and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, USA, Chhewang Rinzin heads Druk Green Power Corporation Ltd, the public sector generation utility of Bhutan, as its first Managing Director since its incorporation in 2008. With over 38 years of service with the Government of Bhutan and the corporate sector, Chhewang Rinzin has served in various capacities in Bhutan’s energy sector.

Mr. Shiva Kumar Adhikary is the Director of the Human Resource Department at the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), where he brings over 20 years of experience in public utility management and workforce development. He has been instrumental in shaping NEA’s human resource strategy, with key leadership roles in HR planning, recruitment, policy and legal framework development, and organizational restructuring.

Mr. Tara P. Pradhan, is Deputy Managing Director (DMD) in Nepal Electricity Authority(NEA) which is a public electric utility responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electric power in Nepal.
