Gothami Gannoruwa

Mrs. Gothama Gannoruwa is working as the Director General (Planning) of the Ministry of Energy, Sri Lanka since September 2023. Prior to the current position in the Ministry of Energy, she served in Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Vocational Education.

She is belonging to the Sri Lanka Planning Service who are responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluation of development activities in the respective sector. She is handling monitoring and evaluation of local and foreign funding projects implementing by the Institutes coming under the purview of the Ministry of Energy specially Renewable Energy Developments.

She completed her degree in B.Sc. (Botany Special) and masters in M.Sc. (Food Science and Technology). She obtained PGD in Development Studies and Public Policy and Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation.
