Sustainable Financing for Nature Positive Investments: Tools for Integrating Economic and Market-Based Instruments into Projects

15 July 2021 to 26 August 2021

In July-August 2021, ADB's Environment Thematic Group hosted a 4-part webinar series entitled, Sustainable Financing for Nature Positive Investments: Tools for Integrating Economic and Market-Based Instruments into Projects.

There is growing interest to strengthen knowledge and capacity on improving the enabling environment for nature-positive investments. Economic and market-based instruments can enable greater financing, stimulate innovation, and mobilize investments with environmental benefits. This knowledge series aimed to share relevant knowledge for designing projects with greater environmental impact by mainstreaming the use of economic tools for environmental management.

This series covered economic and market-based policy instruments for greening supply chains, air quality management, water management, and waste management with the greatest potential for application in the region. It also included regional case studies, as well as success factors and opportunities for scaling up application in the region.
