Before joining Themis, Dickon held a number of senior positions in banking including as the COO and then CEO of First Abu Dhabi Bank in the UK (SMF 22 & 19). He has over 18 years of banking experience with First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Finance, Barclays and Accenture, and has worked and travelled extensively in the Middle East (including spending over a decade in the UAE), as well as the UK, Europe & Americas.

Chinali commenced International Illicit Finance Policy lead role at the British Consulate General in Hong Kong in April 2019.

The role has a specific focus on policy and strategy - enhancing diplomatic engagement, capability and capacity building in close coordination with HMG, local and international partners to tackle illicit finance by disrupting high-harm transnational organised crime groups and addressing the factors that drive, enable and perpetuate their activity.

Cheon-Jeong, Park is Head of the Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for Asia and the Pacific (RILO AP), and also appointed as the Director of International Investigation of Korea Customs Service (KCS). He began his career in 1991 with the foreign port surveillance office at Gunsan Customs.

He has broad experience in customs border surveillance as well as investigation and was selected for Head of Daesan Customs in 2015. In the following year, he became Deputy Director of Investigation Planning Division of KCS.

Norizaku Kuramoto currently heads the Regional Office for Capacity Building at the World Customs Organizations (WCO). He has served as Deputy Director for Technical Cooperation within the Customs and Tariff Bureau of the Government of Japan.

Mr. Kuramoto has nearly 30 years of experience working within the Customs and Tariff Bureau. During this time, he has held several senior positions including Deputy Director for Intelligence, Deputy Director for CMAA and Deputy Director for WTO.

Roberta Casali is the Vice President, Finance and Risk Management at the Asian Development Bank. She has more than 30 years of executive experience in central banking and the financial sector. She held senior positions in the area of payment systems at the Bank of Italy, in both national and international roles. She also had significant private sector banking experience, including more than 10 years at leading Italian international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo SpA.

Nijhof has extensive experience in the worlds of both government and business. As the Director-General of Water at the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (now Infrastructure and Water Management), she was responsible for water policy in the Netherlands. She then turned her hand to a business career as the CEO of consultancy and engineering firm Tauw. Presently, she is figurehead Top Sector Water & Maritiem and chair of the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP).

Lorena is the project coordinator for ADB's project on risk financing solutions and transfer mechanisms to promote climate resilience for ecosystems (Output 4 of TA 6742-REG Building Coastal Resilience through Nature Based and Integrated Solutions in Asia and the Pacific). She was also the project manager of the ADB’s Knowledge Support and Technical Assistance Project on Strengthening Integrated Flood Risk Management (TA 9634-REG), in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Viet Nam.

With a career spanning more than 25 years in international banking and finance in New York, Geneva and Madrid, more than 10 years teaching international business at universities in Madrid and Geneva, and more than 15 years working with various NGOs in Asia, Joan dedicates her time and skills to prepare young people and organizations for a sustainable future. 

Manjula Hettiarachchi is the Additional Director General, Department of Development Finance, Ministry of Finance, Sri Lanka. In addition, he is covering the duties of the Chief Executive Officer, National Insurance Trust Fund Board. Further, he has been working as the Project Director of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Line of Credit Project (SMELoC) funded by the ADB.
