Powering Digital Transformation with Digital Public Infrastructure 11 February 2026 Starting from the basics, what differentiates DPI from other digital infrastructure? Why is it a key enabler of digital transformation? How can ADB engage in this important technical domain and leverage it for development impact? Where can we find successful examples, and who has the competencies and expertise to help successfully implement a DPI project? For those already working on DPI implementation or curious to understand how to can leverage DPI in digital transformation efforts, the second part of this event was a peer-to-peer exchange, featuring DPI practitioners from the South Asia region. We picked up on the key challenges and opportunities identified in the Digital Public Infrastructure: Landscape and Opportunities in South Asia study, looked for common approaches, and developed ideas for collaboration and further knowledge exchange. Topics included making the case for DPI investments, leveraging open standards and software (OSS) and deploying cross-border DPI for regional integration.
