Profile / Bio

Dasun Hegoda is a technology expert and digital transformation advisor working with the Government of Sri Lanka. He serves as a technical advisor in the Digital Economy Unit at the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka, where he supports national initiatives related to digital public infrastructure (DPI) and government digitalization. In this role, he has contributed to the development and implementation of several major digital systems aimed at improving public services and digital governance in Sri Lanka.

Hegoda previously served as Director and Software Architect at the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), the government body responsible for leading the country’s digital transformation. He has been involved in key national projects such as the National Digital Identity program, the National Fuel Pass system introduced during Sri Lanka’s economic crisis, and other digital government platforms. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Dublin and a master’s degree in Enterprise Application Development from Sheffield Hallam University.
