Kunal Walia

Kunal Walia is a Partner in New Delhi and works across essential issues related to financial inclusion, investing for development, and technology for good. Kunal has over 15 years of experience advising commercial and impact investors, philanthropies, the private sector, and NGOs across these issues. He has been working closely with ADB over the last 5 years to identify opportunities within India's WASH sector. This includes assessing the toilet loans market opportunity, identifying financing challenges faced due to COVID-19, and most recently helping ADB understand the investment opportunities within the WASH-SME sector in India. Besides this work, Kunal has been working on related topics like private sector engagement strategies, SME financing, and blended financing investment strategies and structuring. He has completed his MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines in 2006.
