In July-August 2021, ADB's Environment Thematic Group hosted a 4-part webinar series entitled, Sustainable Financing for Nature Positive Investments: Tools for Integrating Economic and Market-Based Instruments into Projects.
The new report, Sociocultural Dimensions in Water Resources Management: Policies, Practices, and Challenges, aims to promote the importance of incorporating sociocultural dimensions in water resources management, an underexplored aspect for achieving water security and climate resilience.
Dennie Mamonto has been working with the ADB - Indonesia Resident Mission as an environmental safeguard officer since 2019. He is actively involved in developing project environmental safeguards documents for various ADB-funded project, including public infrastructure, energy, transport, flood management, education, urban sanitation, health, water resources management, and private sector development projects.
Astik Kumar has a wide-ranging experience as Civil Servant both in the State of Uttar Pradesh & Maharashtra, Government of INDIA; and in organizing presentations, preparing facility reports, and maintaining the utmost confidentiality. He has a PhD in Technology Medieval India, UGC/ JRF-NET & and an M.A. in History. He is currently posted and working as a Commissioner / Administrator at Aurangabad Municipal Corporation; as well as CEO, Smart City Aurangabad.
Kavita is a Chartered Accountant. She is a public policy and financial services professional with over two decades of experience spanning policy advocacy and program management in water resources management, public health, financial inclusion and financial services. She is the Finance Lead for the UP Accelerator Program and also manages the Secretariat of the Maharashtra Water Multi-Stakeholder Platform of the 2030 WRG, World Bank, towards creating the wider political economy conditions and momentum for change in water reform.
Melita Grant specialises in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and integrated water resources management (IWRM) in international development, with a focus on inclusion. She has worked for over 17 years’ in government, university, and civil society sectors. With a background in International Relations and Environmental Management, Melita has expertise in a range of sustainable development issues, and has applied this in Indo Pacific and Australian contexts.
Dr Fakhruddin is an eminent hydro-meteorologist and disaster risk assessor with 20 years’ global experience in hydro-meteorology and climate resilience projects. His key areas of expertise are hazards forecasting, climate and multi-hazard risk assessments and coastal community resilience.
