Dr. Piya Hanvoravongchai is secretary general of the National Health Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand. Piya has been active in health policy and system research and health financing development in Thailand and regionally. He teaches health systems and health economics at Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Medicine. Before joining Chulalongkorn University, Piya was a Lecturer in Health Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a research associate at Harvard University Global Equity Initiative.

The TerraCycle Global Foundation collects and recycles that waste before it reaches and gets degraded and diluted across the ocean. In the space of 2 years, the Foundation has prevented over 560,000 kg of waste from entering the ocean.
