As the Director for Trade of the Sectoral Transformation Group in Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Sin Yong Loh is responsible for transforming trade (Wholesale Trade, Trade Finance, and Logistics) sectors using ICM technologies to enhance the sectors’ competitiveness in the global market.

Sin Yong has more than 25 years of professional IT and extensive leadership experience in Trade Facilitation, Logistics, and Maritime domains, with international exposures in the People’s Republic of China, Southeast Asia and South Asia markets.

Oswald Kuyler

Oswald Kulyer is currently the Digital Trade Standards Initiative (DSI) Managing Director at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Oswald is the former Head of Data Strategy of BHP, the world's largest diversified mining company. He has worked on initiatives covering blockchain, electronic documentation in trade, data and analytics, and automation. 

Digitizing trade in the new normal

The 16th Policy Actions for COVID-19 Economic Recovery (PACER) Dialogue on “Digitizing trade in the new normal” discussed benefits of trade digitization and sustaining supply chains in the new normal. Over 100 government officials from Southeast Asia and the People’s Republic of China participated in the Dialogue, sharing country experience on digitizing trade policies and solutions taken to mitigate the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and accelerate recovery and rejuvenation.

Steven Beck

Steven Beck is the head of trade and supply chain finance at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He has managed exponential growth of the bank’s trade finance business and implemented its first supplychain finance business. While at the ADB, Steven initiated a tool that maps the entire supply chain for COVID-related goods to address shortages. He initiated the Trade Finance Register of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which compiles the only industry-wide statistics on trade-finance default and loss rates.
