Youth for Climate Action: How young people are influencing climate policy and resilience in the region

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Young people have taken to the streets ringing the alarm about the impacts of the climate change emergency. While the protests showcase youth’s frustration in current socio-political systems of managing the climate emergency, they are increasingly also engaging in climate policy and building community resilience.

Dukwoo Jun

For nearly two decades, he has dedicated his life to green technology development and transfer for inclusive green growth. He has designed and implemented bilateral and multilateral partnership projects that support developing countries to move toward innovative green growth. He is currently the director of the Division for Climate Technology Cooperation at Green Technology Center, which promotes international cooperation schemes and practices with green climate technologies.

John Matthews

Dr. John H. Matthews is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA), a global network developing, crowd-sourcing, and mainstreaming the emerging practice of climate resilience, especially with regard to water management. His work blends technical and policy knowledge for climate adaptation and water management for practical implementation.

Herbert Dreiseitl

Herbert Dreiseitl is Harvard GSD Loeb Fellow, and Fellow of the Center of Liveable Cities in Singapore and a renowned Landscape Architect, Urban Designer, Water Artist, Interdisciplinary Planner, and currently Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He lectures worldwide and has authored many publications including three editions of Recent Waterscapes, Planning, Building and Designing with Water.
