Cynthia Wang

Cynthia Wang recently completed her master's degree in Climate Change, Management, and Finance at Imperial College Business School in London. She has a background in non-profit development work and research across climate disciplines. She has worked in Beijing as a Princeton in Asia Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NGO). She recently started a 6-month internship with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. She holds undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Insurance to Support the Resilience of Marine Coastal Ecosystems

Healthy coastal ecosystems, such as coral reefs, are natural buffers that provide the first line of defense against extreme weather events. These ecosystems are rapidly declining, however, despite their importance for coastal cities, communities, and infrastructure. Insurance can financially protect and incentivize the maintenance of coastal ecosystems, such as coral reefs.
