Shinichiro Fujimori

Shinichiro Fujimori is a professor at Kyoto University, Department of Environmental Engineering. He is also a visiting researcher at NIES and in Energy program at IIASA. Dr. Fujimori’s main fields of scientific interest include integrated assessment modeling in climate change mitigation as well as its impact and adaptation. Furthermore, his model representation covers broader sense of global social/environmental issues and their assessments such as poverty, food security, and biodiversity. Ultimately, his research aims to inform national and global environmental policies. Dr.

Zbigniew Klimont

Zbigniew Klimont is a Research Group Leader of the Pollution Management group in the Energy, Climate and Environment program at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). He is also the head of the Centre for Integrated Assessment Modeleling (CIAM) under the UNECE LRTAP Convention. He has a degree in environmental engineering and has been working on the development and assessment of regional and global emissions of various air pollutants and the mid-term scenarios.

Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson, PhD: Dr. Johnson is the Technical Director of Berkeley Air Monitoring Group. He works primarily on field-based assessments of household energy projects, including studies on stove performance and usage, indoor air quality, personal exposure, and health impacts. He has over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including articles on exposure to household air pollution, climate-forcing and health-damaging pollutant emissions, stove performance testing, and others. Dr.

Olivia Brinks

Olivia Brinks is an environmental protection specialist working to advance household energy and clean cooking goals at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).  She brings several years of experience in outreach and communications to her role on the household energy team.  Before joining EPA, Olivia supported conservation and clean cooking projects in Latin America. She is currently working toward a Master's degree in Environmental Management at the Yale School of the Environment.

Guofeng Shen

Dr. Guofeng Shen now is an Assistant Professor at Peking University. His research interests and experiences are in sustainable household energy and environment, largely focusing on fates, impacts and controls of hazardous pollutants produced from indoor solid fuel use that is an important indicator of sustainable development. As the principal investigator, Dr. Shen has received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation (NSF), United Nation Foundations, etc.,

Sharma Mukesh

Dr. Mukesh Sharma, a Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India, is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He was a member of WHO advisory group on air pollution and UN Sustainable Development Goals. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of Indore, master’s degree from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Guelph, Canada, and Kyoto University, Japan.

Weihao is responsible for the management and implementation of air quality program in China and supports the implementation of air quality and climate change program of Clean Air Asia in other Asian countries. He holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

Tao Xue

Dr. Xue is a Research Professor from school of the public health, Peking University Health Science Center. He leads a team focusing on air pollution and climate change, their exposure and health impact assessments. Findings from his team contribute to understanding burden of diseases attributable to PM2.5, O3, and wildfire, among the vulnerable subpopulations, particularly, pregnant women and children. The recent works are delivered by high-quality journals, including Lancet Planetary Health, National Science Review, Nature Communications, Science Advances, and eLife.
