Javed Mir

Javed is a 2019-2020 Visiting Fellow at International Program, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University, USA. He is currently an ADB consultant working on the Rural Development and Food Security Forum and East Asia Department’s project preparation team for the Peoples Republic of China Silk Road Ecological Protection and Rehabilitation project. 

Howarth Bouis

Howarth, a recipient in 2016 of the World Food Prize, pioneered the concept of biofortification in the early 1990s and founded HarvestPlus in 2003. He has devoted his career to turning this idea into a global movement that currently reaches more than 50 million people in smallholder farming families in low-income countries. He continues to actively champion biofortification and the work of HarvestPlus in the international agriculture and nutrition communities. 

Fatima Moniz Soares

Fatima Moniz Soares is currently taking Economy Management at Dili University (UNDIL). She is highly motivated to do something for the youth and to help her community and her country, Timor-Leste. When she started her studies, she began thinking of coffee as a source of income for farmers. She is learning about coffee so she can work with farmers and collaborate int producing high quality coffee.

David Tan

A serial entrepreneur with over 28 years of experience in IT, Control Engineering and FMCG Supply Chain  Management, David was responsible for optimizing the McDonald’s and KFC cold chains, as well as Global Distribution for the Jardines Group. He was also a dotcom entrepreneur during the early 2000s, specializing in Supply Chain ASP. In the last 10 years, David has worked closely with Singapore government agencies and established Netatech as one of the leading providers of water and food sustainability technologies in the country. 

David Davies

David is the Founder of AgUnity, FAC Global Agripreneur of the Year 2018, working on UN Sustainable Development Goals, elimination of poverty and increasing smallholder farmer incomes.  

AgUnity is an impact venture applying blockchain and smartphone technology to improve the lives of small farmer cooperatives in developing countries. Widely recognized by major NGO's and winner of many agtech and philanthropy awards and accolades. 

Christine Jodloman

Christine is on a mission to bring back the sense of excitement and wonder in Philippine agriculture, through meaningful narratives and a movement. Having been raised in a rural farming community, she observed the lack of young farmers, and lack of motivation of older farmers to grow food. Narratives in agriculture in her community were also negative, mirroring the realities on the field.
