Javed Mir

Javed is a 2019-2020 Visiting Fellow at International Program, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University, USA. He is currently an ADB consultant working on the Rural Development and Food Security Forum and East Asia Department’s project preparation team for the Peoples Republic of China Silk Road Ecological Protection and Rehabilitation project. 

In May 2015, Javed r retired as the Director of Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Division, Southeast Asia Department of ADB. Since joining ADB in 1999, he led and/or participated in the design, development and administration of ADB’s agriculture, environment, natural resources sector, and rural development strategies and projects in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Greater Mekong Subregion (Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam), Indonesia, and the Philippines.
