Xianfu Lu

Xianfu, ADB’s focal point for climate change adaptation, has worked on the science and policy of climate change adaptation for the past 20 years. Trained as an applied meteorologist, he spent the first 10 years of her career researching climate scenarios and their use in climate change impacts and vulnerability assessments in different parts of the world. Prior to joining ADB, Xianfu worked at UNDP’s Global Environmental Facility Unit and at the Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Peter Rosenkranz

Peter’s work focuses on ADB’s finance sector operations in East Asia. He supports and leads the origination, processing, and implementation of lending projects, guarantees, and technical assistance, as well as the delivery of knowledge products and solutions. Previously, he worked as Economist in ADB’s Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, focusing on issues relating to financial development and stability within the context of regional financial cooperation and integration in Asia.

Karin Schelzig

Dr. Karin Schelzig is a poverty and social protection specialist with more than 25 years of multidisciplinary human and social development (HSD) experience in East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific, including 21 years with the Asian Development Bank.

Extreme poverty requires a blend of synergistic measures to pull people out and sustain this independently over time. Developing holistic responses is essential as the world’s ultrapoor have multiple needs to meet.
