Mr. Ahmed Kamal is the Chief Engineering Adviser and Chairman Federal Flood Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of Pakistan. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the field of water resources management, flood control planning and management, DRR, flood forecasting and warning systems, and disaster risk insurance. He has worked on the implementation of National Flood Protection Plans II & III, and Flood Protection Sector Projects, I & II. Mr.

Mr. Minamitani Taichi sis the Director of the Disaster Risk Reduction Division 1, Global Environment Department, Japany International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He joined JICA in 2007. His division is in charge of JICA's flood and landslide projects globally. This includes JICA's operations for the 2022 Pakistan flood. He holds a Master’s degrees from Kyoto University, Japan, and King’s College London, UK, and is currently a PhD candidate.
 

Nam’s professional career mainly focuses on climate change impact assessment and water engineering management with more than 20-year experience. He has conducted fundamental and practical studies in the field of environmental hydraulics and water resources, for instance, the studies on the development of advanced technologies for improving flood forecasting practices in Viet Nam; the development of vulnerability assessment and risk mapping tools for water infrastructure systems.

Arjen is a hydrologist and remote sensing analyst with a special interest in understanding high river discharges and floods, applying this in operational contexts.

On a broader scope, he is interested in the physical processes that shape our surroundings, especially the flow of water, and the proper management of our natural resources.

Livia works at WateAid Timor-Leste as Program Effectiveness and Advocacy Manager. She has several years of experience working at WaterAid, starting in 2014 as a Sanitation Officer.

In 2016 she moved up one level to Specialist for WASH and GEDSI and in 2018 she held a position as program manager. She has been working with several INGOs before WaterAid.

Kabindra has 15 years work experience in WASH sector, and managing many projects in Nepal. He is a Master Trainer on Water Safety plan. He has working experience with the government; with a World Bank Project as team leader; with WHO as leader of capacity building programmes from private institution. He has been working in WaterAid since 2015 as senior manager.

Abhisek is a Civil Engineer cum Urban Manager with a B. Tech. in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Urban Management and Governance. He is a KPMG Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified personnel and a multi-dextrous professional with multi-disciplinary core competencies in engineering and management domains having experience in Government, Public and Private Sectors.

Manushi Ashok is the Co-founder and Director of Sponge Collaborative, an interdisciplinary strategic planning and design firm that focuses on nature-based solutions, integrated blue-green infrastructure, sustainable mobility, inclusive housing, and vibrant public spaces to help build resilient cities. She is an Architect and Urban Designer who has recently been featured on Forbes magazine’s ‘30 under 30’ young leaders for 2022.
