Ahmed Kamal

Mr. Ahmed Kamal is the Chief Engineering Adviser and Chairman Federal Flood Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of Pakistan. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the field of water resources management, flood control planning and management, DRR, flood forecasting and warning systems, and disaster risk insurance. He has worked on the implementation of National Flood Protection Plans II & III, and Flood Protection Sector Projects, I & II. Mr. Kamal is a Member of the Pakistan National Committee on International Hydrological Programme and a Member of the Board of Directors, the Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources. He was earlier Member (Disaster Risk Reduction) at the National Disaster Management Authority.
