Lisa-Maria Rebelo

Dr. Lisa-Maria Rebelo is a principal researcher at IWMI. Her research involves the development of new, innovative Earth Observation (EO) based methodologies to improve the understanding of interactions between basin-scale hydrological and ecological functioning, and water availability and allocation, as well as identifying options for improved management of water resources at multiple scales.

Poolad Karimi

Dr. Poolad Karimi is a water resources & irrigation engineer with more than 10 years international experience in Asia and Africa. He works at UNESCO-IHE as a senior lecturer/researcher in irrigation management. He has worked on a range of issues related to water resources and agricultural water management. This includes having a leading role in the development of the Water Accounting Plus framework. He has been involved in numerous research projects pertaining water accounting, basin and field level productivity, water productivity assessments, and irrigation.

Elga Salvadore

Dr. Elga Salvadore obtained a Master in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Universita degli Studi di Genova (Italy) in 2008 with a thesis focusing on hydraulic simulations of river and flood protection systems. She obtained a PhD scholarship from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) and VITO (Flemish Institute for Technological Research) and completed her PhD in Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgium) in 2015 with a research on spatially-distributed hydrological modelling of urbanized catchment.
