Shuji Kimura

Shuji Kimura has over 25 years of professional experience, including approximately 10 years with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He joined ADB in 2015 and has since been engaged in transport sector development projects. His work has covered Southeast Asian countries such as Lao PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam, as well as South Asian countries including Bangladesh and India. His experience spans road transport, rail transport, and urban public transport systems.

Kathleen Dematera Contreras leads the Sustainable Transport initiatives of Clean Air Asia. Her work focuses on the areas of clean fuels and vehicles, fuel economy, low emission urban development, active transportation, electric mobility, and green freight and logistics. Kathleen establishes strategic partners in various countries across the region, ranging from government agencies, development practitioners, private sector representatives, and academic and research institutions to enhance country-focused initiatives to align with global strategies.

The ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund's (AASCTF) pilot project intervention in Penang (Malaysia) involves the development of a Transport Micro-Simulation Model of the historical centre of Georgetown, which can be used to assess future mobility interventions such as public transport, traffic improvements,
