Jessica Fanzo

Jessica Fanzo is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Global Food Policy and Ethics at the Johns Hopkins University, USA. She holds appointments in the Berman Institute of Bioethics, the Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She also serves as the Director of Hopkins’ Global Food Policy and Ethics Program, and as Director of Food & Nutrition Security at Hopkins’ Alliance for a Healthier World.

Lee Ann Jackson

Lee Ann Jackson is the Head of the Agro-Food Trade and Markets Division in the Trade and Agriculture Directorate (TAD) at the OECD. She joined the OECD in 2020 after 16 years at the WTO where her most recent position was as Counselor of Food and Agricultural Policy Research in the Economic Research and Statistics Division. She was previously the Secretary to the WTO's Committee on Agriculture in the Agriculture and Commodities Division where her responsibilities included the implementation and monitoring of WTO rules on agriculture and multilateral agriculture negotiations.

Jiahua Pan

PAN Jiahua, Member of the Academic Board, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Director of the Institute of Eco-civilization Studies and Professor of Economics, Beijing University of Technology, Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Urban & Environmental Studies. Received his PhD at Cambridge University in 1992. Areas of study include economics of sustainable development, energy and climate policy, world economy and environmental and natural resource economics.

Masatsugu Asakawa

Masatsugu Asakawa is the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Chairperson of ADB’s Board of Directors. He was elected President by ADB’s Board of Governors and assumed office on 17 January 2020.  

He previously served as Special Advisor to Japan’s Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and has a close-to-four decades’ career at the Ministry of Finance with diverse professional experiences that cut across both domestic and international fronts.  

Jacobus Veerman

Jacob Veerman is a national of the Netherlands. He is an internationally experienced diplomat specializing in economic and strategic development, change, and project management. Jacob has a broad knowledge and experience in the field of water management and infrastructure. He completed his master’s degree in social-economic history at Amsterdam University in 1992. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in education: history and geography.

Nawon has almost 20 years’ experience in sustainable development, sustainable production and consumption, system innovation, climate change, and environmental policy and governance.  Currently focusing on low carbon city development, Nawon promotes systems-thinking, integrated solutions, collaborative and coherent climate actions in various sectors, preventive approach to enhance resilience and active governance.
