Amarjit Jagap

Amarjit has more than five years of experience in agribusiness. He is a specialist in the development of residue free pesticides and fertilizer. He handles all farmers who work under Green Horizon as well as issues related to the overall operation including the cultivation process, pre- and post-harvest management, possessing, and packaging.

Alex Shyy

Alex specializes in international cooperation programs; program appraisal, implementation,and management; technical mission project appraisal, implementation and management; outbound investment and trade promotion; international marketing; and auditing.

His recent experience includes serving as Adviser to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Auditor General for Taiwan ICDF. He handled various positions in the Technical Cooperation Department of Taiwan ICDF including the Director, Deputy Director, and Division Chief.

Albert Dean Atkinson

Albert Dean Atkinson is the Former Director of ADB’s Knowledge Support Division in the Department of Communications. Atkinson has been in ADB for more than 15 years, working across the knowledge, library sciences, and human resource domains.

His background and academic training are in Agriculture, Education, Psychology and Administration. Prior to ADB, worked at the International Rice Research Institute, Hewlett-Packard, General Electric Medical Systems, and several private and public schools as a teacher, principal, and superintendent.

Mio Oka

Mio Oka is currently the Director of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division in the South Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Since 2015, she has been responsible in administering several climate adaptation projects including flood and coastal management, water use efficiency, rural connectivity improvement and agriculture value chain projects in the following ADB developing member countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Jiangfeng Zhang

Jiangfeng Zhang is the Director of Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Division, Southeast Asia Department, concurrently Co-Chair, Environment Thematic Group, of Asian Development Bank (ADB). Since 2002 to date, he has been leading and supporting the development, design, and implementation of agriculture, natural resources, and rural development sector projects covering countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Central and West Asia.

Marzia Mongiorgi-Lorenzo

Marzia has more than 20 years of professional experience in project, program and portfolio related work in the development field, including extensive field work. After working with consulting firms (in Salvador and Eritrea), NGOs and the United Nations (in North Korea), Marzia joined ADB in 2000. For 10 years, she led multidisciplinary teams throughout the project cycle, from identification to design and self-evaluation, in South Asian countries.

Chiara Bronchi

Chiara is the Chief Thematic Officer of ADB’s Thematic Advisory Service Cluster under the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department. Chiara is responsible for the Cluster's vision, goals, and work plan of eight thematic groups: Digital Technology for Development, Environment, Gender Equity, Governance, NGO and Civil Society Center, Regional Cooperation and Integration, Rural Development and Food Security, and Social Development.  

Arvind Kumar

Arvind is a fellow of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences since 2015. As a senior scientist and plant breeder at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), he brings with him over 25 years of work experience in the agriculture sector including his current role as the Director of the IRRI South Asia Regional Centre (ISARC), located in Varanasi, India and as IRRI’s representative for the country. 

Mahfuzuddin Ahmed

Mahfuzuddin Ahmed is a Finance, Rural Development, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Specialist with over 30 years of experience on agriculture, food security, rural development and climate change initiatives covering more than 30developing countries in Asia, Africa and the Pacific. Dr. Ahmed has worked for several multilateral and bilateral organizations, including World Bank and Asian Development Bank(ADB).
