Sara Savastano

Sara is the Director of IFAD’s Research and Impact Assessment Division. Starting in 2016, Savastano worked at the World Bank as Senior Economist with the Development Economic Research Group. From 2008 to 2016 she was an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. After working from 2001 to 2005 with the Development Economic Research Group of the World Bank, Savastano was an economist at the Public Investment Evaluation Unit of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance until 2008.

Reginald Lee

Reginald is Director of Partnerships at Grow Asia, a multi-stakeholder partnership platform that catalyzes action on inclusive agricultural development in South-East Asia. The platform convenes governments, farmers, NGOs, and other stakeholders to co-create value chain projects and transform their commodity sectors to improve smallholder farmers’ productivity, incomes and environmental sustainability.

Montserrat López Jerez

Montserrat holds a Ph.D. in Economic History (2015, Lund University, Sweden) and is currently a lecturer in Global Economic History, with focus on Asia, at the University of St Andrews (UK).   Montserrat has been associated to the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies at Lund University since 2005; first as a Master student and later on, as a teacher, while employed at the Department of Economic History.  She also held a position as Programme Coordinator of the Bachelor’s in Development Studies (BIDS).

Mekhala Krishnamurthy

Over the last 15 years, Mekhala’s research, publications, policy and professional engagements have involved work within and across a range of field sites and subjects, including women's courts and dispute resolution, community health workers and public health systems, agriculture and agricultural markets, and water, livelihood security and land acquisition. This has placed her in a variety of roles at the intersections of and in partnerships between academia, public policy, government, the private sector, and grassroots civil society organizations.
