Ramon Duarte

Ramon heads UnionBank of the Philippines’ newly-created Platform Development unit. Here, he is responsible for delivering on a strategy to embed the banking experience into emerging ecosystem platforms, as part of the bank’s larger vision to become a technology company with banking utilities. 

Prior to this, Ramon headed the bank’s project management, process and quality units during the initial phases of UnionBank’s digital transformation program. Mon has held various other roles in product development, electronic channels management and led the bank’s core banking transformation project in the mid 2000s.  Before joining UnionBank, Ramon held roles in the transaction banking businesses at ABN Amro Manila and Citibank Manila.
