Suresh Baral is an Assistant Professor in School of Engineering, Pokhara University, Nepal. He earned his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering at Pusan National University, South Korea. His teaching and research are in the areas of renewable energy and design of thermal systems. Recently, he has been engaged in projects on the solar ORC technology funded by University Grants Commission and PURC, Pokhara University. Besides, he serves as reviewer for several international journals. Dr.

S.K. Chou is a Professor Adjunct at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore. He is presently Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Cooling Energy Science and Technology Singapore (CoolestSG) Consortium at NUS funded by the National Research Foundation. Between 1992 and 2007, he held positions as Director, Industry, and Technology Relations Office, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at NUS.

As an IISD Associate, Balasubramanian works closely with its India program as well as the Geneva-based Global Subsidies Initiative. His recent areas of research include improving subsidy design for energy access, coal power in India and tracking international fossil fuel subsidies. Bala has a background in mechanical engineering, energy policy, and modeling. He has worked in projects across India, Canada, and Sweden.
