Dr. Lu has been working for nature conservation for 20 years and is specialized in wetland ecology and biodiversity conservation. He is involved in various conservation and management associated initiatives at both national and international level, including the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, EAAFP, IUCN, GEO BON, and UNESCAP and NEASPEC projects. His main research interests are wetland ecosystem change and drivers, biodiversity dynamics and conservation biology, endangered migratory waterbirds and habitat, and mechanisms for transboundary cooperation in the EAAF.

JIN Xiaoting is Senior Project Officer of French Development Agency (AFD). She is the focal point of “biodiversity” and “innovation” of AFD in China. She joined AFD in 2008 and has developed and managed over 800 million EUR of Official Development Aid (ODA) projects covering biodiversity conservation, sustainable urban and rural development, natural and cultural heritage protection, energy efficiency, district energy and divers areas. She is also responsible for policy dialogue with Chinese authorities on environment and biodiversity related topics. Ms.

Dr. Jianbin Shi is an Advisor and Director of Conservation Program with the Paulson Institute, responsible for development and management of a high-impact portfolio of wetland conservation and restoration projects in China. Before joining the Institute in March 2016, Jianbin was the Head of TRAFFIC China Programme from May 2011 to September 2014, a Program Manager of UNDP China for EU-China Biodiversity Program from August 2006 to May 2011, and a Program Coordinator of TNC China Office from September 2004 to August 2006.

Ms. Hu Xinxin is the Acting Division Chief of the Department of Wetland Management of National Forestry and Grassland Administration, P.R. China. She graduated from t he University of Waikato, New Zealand specializing in Electronic commerce and Beijing Institute of Technology, specializing in programme management She is in charge of the implementation of the Convention on wetlands, Ramsar Sites management, Wetland City Accreditation ,and i nternational cooperation in wetland area.

Senior Specialist and senior engineer, Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center, Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE). She has worked in the field of ecological protection for nearly 20 years, successively engaged in environmental monitoring, nature reserve management, biodiversity protection, implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity, GEF project management, construction of national park system and mechanism, access and benefit sharing of biological genetic resources(ABS), and the Partnership of business and biodiversity in China.

Ms. GAO started her career in ecological rehabilitation since the establishment of the Ministry of Natural Resources, People’s Republic of China, in 2018. She is involved in coastal wetland policy making and rehabilitation projects. Prior to that, she had been working in National Administration of Mapping, Survey and Geo-information, Beijing Bureau of Land Resources, and Shijiazhuang Bureau of Land Resources,etc. mainly on the management of land and its sustainable use.

Yu Qian is China Program Director of International Crane Foundation (ICF). Before joining ICF, she worked for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for 12 years. She provided technical support to the development of “China Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (2011-2030)” which was issued by the State Council in 2010, studied US land tenure model introduction to China, and managed external affairs of TNC China.

Dr. Xiaohong Zhang works as an Associate Expert with Wetlands International. She is now working on the Flyway Bottleneck Yellow Sea Project as a project manager based in China representing Wetlands International. She started with Wetlands International in China in 2002 and was responsible for project development, project management and operation.

Nicolas Rossin has been a regional task team leader on biodiversity for the Agence Française de développement (AFD) since 2017. He’s currently based at AFD regional office in Beijing where he’s in charge of the projects portfolio on biodiversity and natural capital in China (including the China Biodiversity Facility) and Vietnam. He joined AFD in 2002 and has since worked in operations, both in the field (regional office for South Pacific in New Caledonia and country office in Mauritania) and at headquarters.

Kang Wei has over 20 years of experience promoting sustainable development and nature conservation in China. Before he joined The Nature Conservancy, Kang Wei served Heifer International and Jet Li’s One Foundation on poverty alleviation and disaster rehabilitation.
