Syaharani Abdul Kadir

Syaharani (Rani) is an environmental lawyer and legal researcher at ICEL. She specializes in environmental governance, climate and energy advocacy and has been involved in drafting climate regulation and policy recommendations and working in initiatives that bring forth climate change into the realms of good environmental and energy governance. Her research also covers the current development of climate law, pioneering research on climate and just transition litigation.

Yumiko Yasuda

Dr. Yasuda is a Senior network & transboundary water cooperation specialist at Global Water Partnership. She supports GWP’s operations in Asia region, and also leads GWP’s thematic work on transboundary water. She is the lead faculty of the Massive Open Online Course on Governance Transboundary Freshwater Security (hosted by SDG academy), designed and directed the production of the course.

Regional and in-country efforts are crucial in ensuring that the EAA flyway and its wetlands continue to be protected and their ecosystem services optimized and sustainable. Simon is an international sustainable development expert with over 13 years of experience in sustainable development and environmental governance ranging from policy research to project design and management. His recent work has involved supporting governments in the Asia-Pacific region strengthen their response to the environment-related SDGs (sustainable consumption and production; life below water, and life on land), as part of an ADB project.

Chun Xia-Bauer

Chun Xia-Bauer is a project coordinator at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy in Germany. She has been working over 10 years in the field of environmental governance, sustainable low carbon city development, and building energy efficiency. Dr. Xia-Bauer has been leading various international cooperation projects with special focus on Asian countries funded by the German government, the European Commission, private foundations, multilateral development banks, the German Research Council, and the government of the People's Republic of China. Grizelda Mayo-Anda

Atty. Mayo-Anda is an environmental attorney with over 25 years of field-based practice in environmental advocacy and community-based resource management work in the Philippines. She established the Environmental Legal Assistance Center (ELAC) in 1990, now one of the Philippines’ most active NGOs working to empower communities and local stakeholders to protect their natural resources. She is currently the Executive Director of ELAC.
