Shinichiro Fujimori

Shinichiro Fujimori is a professor at Kyoto University, Department of Environmental Engineering. He is also a visiting researcher at NIES and in Energy program at IIASA. Dr. Fujimori’s main fields of scientific interest include integrated assessment modeling in climate change mitigation as well as its impact and adaptation. Furthermore, his model representation covers broader sense of global social/environmental issues and their assessments such as poverty, food security, and biodiversity. Ultimately, his research aims to inform national and global environmental policies. Dr.

Bakhadur Paluaniyazov

Since April 2020, works as a Head of the Environment and Climate Action Cluster of UNDP in Uzbekistan: responsible for programming UNDP initiatives in areas of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Nature Resource Management (including Biodiversity conservation, Agriculture), Disaster Risk Reduction and the Aral Sea environmental crisis. Prior to this assignment, Bakhadur  managed UNDP lead UN Joint Programmes in the Aral Sea region and made substantive inputs in the establishment of the Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region.
