Her current portfolio includes preparation and implementation of education projects and provision of technical assistance support in Cambodia, the Philippines and Indonesia. She has more than 30 years experience in development work, especially in human development (education, health, social protection), poverty issues, rural development.

Uzma Hoque

Uzma leads overall coordination, management and operational support to different sector divisions to integrate gender considerations in the department's overall programs and projects. Prior to joining ADB, Ms. Hoque spent 15 years working on women’ rights and economic empowerment, child protection in emergencies, health and HIV/AIDS, and development communication with various UN organizations in Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands.

Tsuneyuki Sakai

Tsuneyuki Sakai is Unit Head, Project Administration Unit of Transport Sector Office, Sectors Group of ADB – experienced in development and administration of infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on transport sector projects in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific regions, having spent over 23-years in development financing institutions, including 12 years in ADB and 11 years in JBIC/JICA.

Pierre Passin

Pierre Passin is the Deputy Director General of Asian Development Bank’s Information Technology Department (ITD). Mr. Passin is responsible for IT infrastructure, platforms, technology innovation and cyber-defense. Mr. Passin, a national of France, has 20 years of multilateral development banks experience running IT systems covering software/systems development, infrastructure, integration, security and support.

Roger Ball

Roger is a seasoned business leader with a proven track record of driving value through transformation and modernization. Throughout his career, he has orchestrated multiple procurement transformation and modernization efforts, implemented procurement best practices, and expanded spend under management to drive significant stakeholder value. As a procurement practitioner, he is especially passionate about driving value, ensuring high alignment with world class procurement practices, sustainability, and ensuring equity and inclusion.

He left his position in ADB in April 2021.

Yi Jiang

Yi’s research focuses on urbanization, infrastructure and economic development. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his bachelor's degree in economics and finance from Zhejiang University, PRC.

Po Yang

Po Yang is an associate professor with tenure, chair of Department of Economics of Education and Administration as well as a research associate of the Institute of Economics of Education, at the Graduate School of Education, Peking University, and a research fellow at China Institute of Education Finance Research, Peking University. She serves as the vice president of the China Association of Education Finance Research and has been working as a consultant for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and Ford Foundation.
