Sanjeev Shrestha

Sanjeev Shrestha has more than two decades of experience in overall project designing, planning, implementation, and monitoring related to private sector promotion, value chain development, livelihood improvement, community development and natural resource management. He has supported strengthening the supply chains of more than 50 agribusinesses by brokering win-win business arrangements with 500 producer organisations in the agriculture value chain that have improved income, generated employment and increased their ability to respond to market demand.

Rajan Bajracharya

Rajan Bajracharya has a unique blend of engineering and management experiences. He has working experience of 20 years, mainly using digital technologies to address some of the societal benefit areas to solve environmental and livelihood challenges in the region by simplifying complex scientific methodologies and closing the gap between theory and practices. Rajan is the founder of GeoKrishi initiative, Managing Director of Pathway Technologies P. Ltd.

Abhinav Raghuvanshi

Abhinav Raghuvanshi is now the Vice President of DeHaat. He's been an Associate Vice President for three (3) years of the same organization. 

He also co-founded the VezaMart from Sep 2016 - Mar 2019. 

Abhinav has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology and finished his Master's in Business and Administration at the Institute of Management at Nirma University.  

Anita Mahat

Anita Mahat Rana is an economist engaged in initiatives that foster economic growth, enterprise development, access to finance, and policy reform. She has a Master’s in Development Economics from the Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands and a Bachelor’s in Biology and Economics from Luther College, USA. Ms. Mahat Rana currently serves as an Economic Growth Specialist at USAID/Nepal.

Food Security Forum

ADB’s Strategy 2030 calls for urgent attention to meet the challenges of poverty, food insecurity, and rural prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Rural Development and Food Security Forum aims to seek knowledge on enabling policies, technologies, and investments that will help DMCs/ADB generate rural prosperity and effective stewardship to land and water (fresh and marine) resources.

Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Planning

Climate change imposes a dynamic challenge on the food system in Asia and has already started adversely impacting farming and food value chains in ADB’s DMCs. Climate change adaptation and mitigation investments, hence, are relevant to the food and nutrition security agenda of Asia and the Pacific, and ADB has set a steep target of $ 1 billion to increase climate finance (adaptation) in Agriculture and Natural Resources Sector by 2020.
