Ma Luisa (Lulu) Zuniga-Carmine

Ms. Ma Luisa (Lulu) Zuniga-Carmine is a Gender Specialist, who has over 20 years of experience working on poverty, involuntary resettlement, and gender in 14 Pacific countries including Kiribati, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu and Fjij. She has also worked in Asia including Sri Lanka, Kyrgyztan, Mongolia and China. She is an experienced gender specialist conducting training, preparing and implementing gender action plans. She has worked directly or through firms in preparing and implementing ADB-funded projects with gender requirements.

Nikita Gopal

Dr. Nikita Gopal is Principal Scientist & Head, Extension, Information & Statistics Division, at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT), Kochi, Kerala, India with over 27 years’ experience in fisheries.

She is a founding member, and currently the Chair, Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries Section (GAFS) of the Asian Fisheries Society (AFS). She is also Chair of the Asian Fisheries Social Science Research Network (AFSSRN) of the AFS.
