Integrating Gender and Climate Change Actions in ADB Operations in Central and West Asia 9 to 11 October 2023 Asian Development Bank’s Central and West Asia Department and the Gender Equality Division of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department held a subregional workshop of ADB partners in Central and West Asia entitled “Integrating Gender and Climate Change Actions in ADB Operations in Central and West Asia,” on 9–11 October 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The event examined the links between gender and climate change issues and identified innovative approaches of government partners and other development actors in promoting gender equality and climate actions across priority sectors. Objectives: The workshop aimed to deepen the participants’ knowledge of gender and climate change in the context of development initiatives globally and in the region. It also aimed to share with the participants ADB’s priorities and achievements as a climate bank alongside its 2030 Strategy and transformative gender agenda. The participants learned gender responsive approaches to addressing climate change.
