Series: ADB Business Outreach Activities Asian Development Bank’s Business Opportunities Seminar in Paris, France (European Roadshow 2026) 23 March 2026 Business France Headquarters, 77 bd St Jacques, Paris 14ème, France A cornerstone of development financing in the Asia-Pacific region, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), based in Manila, Philippines, mobilizes tens of billions of dollars annually to support transformative projects across the region in sectors such as transportation, energy, urban and agricultural development, digital technology, health, and education. The resulting tenders represent substantial business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region, while also offering a risk-free repayment policy. In 2024, the ADB provided $24.3 billion ($39.2 billion including co-financing) in loans, grants, guarantees, technical assistance, and equity investments. Many challenges remain today on the Asian continent and in the Pacific: food security, depletion of natural resources, increasing inequalities, uncontrolled urbanization, and access to healthcare. The ADB estimates the infrastructure needs at USD 22.6 trillion until 2030. French companies won $17.6 million in ADB-funded contracts in 2024, including $7.1 million for consulting and engineering services and $10.5 million for goods and works. They have significant room for growth compared to their Asian competitors. To help you seize these opportunities and to support the ADB in its cooperation with the private sector, Business France hosted a stop on its European roadshow, which also passed through Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium.
