3rd Asia Pacific Public Electronic Procurement Network Conference 2 to 4 October 2017 The 3-day conference aimed to strengthen the capacity of public procurement agencies in Asia and the Pacific to implement e-procurement solutions based on international best practices and sharing of experiences. It helped developing member countries implement modern procurement systems that are both business friendly and socially responsible, while at the same time addressing concerns related to transparency and efficiency that are often associated with the procurement processes. The conference was held in collaboration with the State Procurement Agency (SPA) of Georgia. Objectives At the end of the workshop, the participants were able to: build a network of e-procurement practitioners and peers; identify potential areas of collaboration with e-procurement practitioners through the proposed network; gain new insights and knowledge on e-procurement regulation, new e-government procurement technologies and applications, management, and reform primarily in the public procurement sector; and understand implications of using e-procurement for cross-border trade.
