This presentation discussed existing WHO guidance for safe and healthy workplaces in relation to COVID-19 risks, as well as updates on the latest COVID-19 trends and health risks.
Dr. Ivan Ivanov is Team Leader of the WHO Global Occupational Health Programme in Geneva. He has the overall responsibility for the implementation of the WHO Global Plan of Action on Workers’ Health, and for collaboration with other internal technical programmes and outside partners. In addition, currently he carries out several technical projects; his project portfolio includes scaling up coverage with occupational health services, workers’ health in a green economy and climate change policies, as well as occupational diseases.
The WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) is one of WHO's six regional offices around the world. It serves the WHO European Region, which comprises 53 countries, covering a vast geographical region from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans. Helen is the Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Impact Assessment in the School of Public Health at Curtin University. She has also held other leadership positions including Deputy Head of School and Director of Health, Safety and Environment. One of her key ambitions is to promote the use of HIA in the Asia Pacific Region and to develop and improve guidelines on HIA.

The International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) is dedicated to preventing the more than 3,500 road deaths that occur everyday worldwide. iRAP provides tools and training to help governments and organizations in more than 70 countries make roads safe.
As the pre-eminent network in Asia on air quality management issues, the Asian Development Bank’s Clean Air Asia initiative examines the interface between climate change and local air pollution. It is a successful model of knowledge networking and how knowledge can be translated into policy dialogues, capacity development, and investment.
